Learn how to create cute reptile drawings featuring a turtle, an alligator and a snake. Indeed, you will learn how to illustrate these three fun characters using a single template that can also be used to draw other animals. Once you are familiar with the process, drawing more cute animals and characters will be easier. For now, let's start with the first drawing lesson from this series ... the turtle! ;)
First, draw the head and the body using small curved lines. Next, work on the eyes using small circular shapes. Smaller shapes colored in white are added inside both pupils. The mouth is created using one large curved line.
The shell is made from a bunch of small pentagons. Legs are illustrated with several small curved lines. Once you are done, you can add brown and green colors inside the cartoon character.
The second cartoon character is also made from a similar shape (for the head and body). On top of the head, you can draw a tiny spike using a triangle. The eyes and the nose are made from small dots. The mouth is made from a curved line and small teeth are visible below the mouth.
Draw all four legs and the tail using more curved lines. A patch is also added on the chest of the cartoon alligator. Complete this lesson by adding green colors inside the animal. The patch can be colored in yellow.
Once again, you can draw the head and the body using the same technique. Eyes are made from small dots. The mouth is created using a short curved line. A small tongue is also added below the mouth. Draw a patch on the chest and the rest of the body using curved lines. Add some colors (red and green) inside the cartoon snake to complete this tutorial.
Creating beautiful reptile drawings is relatively easy using these lessons. More cute cartoon animals from the same series are also available here. Don't hesitate to practice as often as possible. Improving your drawing abilities is only possible if you grab a pencil and sketch cute cartoon characters on a regular basis! ;)
