Illustrating a monkey clipart should be an easy a fun experience. If you are looking for a simple tutorial to help you draw this cute animal, then this drawing lesson is definitely for you. I will show you how to draw a monkey made from circles and rectangles using only four basic steps.
There are around 250 monkey species available throughout the world. These primates are closely related to men making them perfect subjects for experiments and studies. Some monkeys are even kept as pets or to help people accomplish simple tasks.
Below you can see the final version of the cartoon monkey you are about to illustrate. Ready? Let's proceed with the first step now! :)
First, let's draw the body using a large rectangle. Inside the rectangle, draw two large circles to form the eyes. Next, sketch some circles on both sides of the head to create the ears. Inside the ears, small patches can also be added. All these shapes can be done using thick outlines.
Next, add two small pupils using smaller circles. Below the eyes, small oval shapes are drawn to represent the nose. Finally, a large curved line can be drawn to illustrate the mouth. Around all these elements, sketch a large shape to create a patch around the face.
We are almost done! On the bottom of the large rectangle, draw small curved lines to form the feet. A large curved line can be added on the stomach to create a patch. Arms are done with small broken lines while the tail is made from long curved lines. That's it for the drawing aspect of the tutorial. Let's add colors now! :)
Of course, a simple brown color is used to filled in this cartoon monkey. Patches around the face, on the stomach and inside the ears are slightly brighter. The pupils and the nose can be darker. Outlines are colored with a dark brown color instead of a black one.
These are all four steps needed to create this monkey. Don't hesitate to practice often to reach your goal of illustrating this animal easily. You are also invited to try this second version featuring another cute cartoon monkey made mostly from circles. Enjoy! :)
