No magic needed to learn how to draw a wizard based on a cute and simple design! I will show you how to illustrate this fun character using simple shapes and a few stars. Wizards are very popular in video games, movies and also in some board games. Let me show you how to create the perfect version of this cartoon character in just six easy steps.
The head is the part of any character that should be drawn first. Use a large circular shape to depict this one. As you can see below, the shape is not perfect: the bottom is wider while the top is narrower.
Cool! Draw the ears of this wizard using circles. The body is made from a long rectangle that must be narrower on top. The feet are made from circles while the arms are created with rectangles. For the hands, small circles will be perfect!
On top of the head, you can draw a large triangle. Make sure this one is pointed and made from curved lines. Pupils are illustrated with large circles. The magic stick is sketched from a rectangle and a perfect star.
Continue working on this cute character by drawing the pupils using large circles. The beard is made from several curved lines. Don't forget to add the nose and the mouth as shown on the illustration below.
You can complete this drawing lesson by adding small oval shapes inside the pupils. The clothing and the hat of the wizard are also covered by several stars. Nice work! :)
I hope you had fun sketching this cartoon wizard. Details are more complex to draw on this character and now you are ready to add some colors (if you feel like it, of course!).
All steps needed to illustrate this cartoon wizard accurately can be found below. If you can draw an old man with a long suit and stars all over it, then you can draw your own version of a wizard quite easily! Enjoy! :)
