Time to learn how to draw a viking, the most feared character a captain can find on its way to the sea! Vikings are often depicted wearing dirty clothing, with a large beard, having big muscles and with almost no teeth remaining in the mouth. Today, I propose we learn to draw a cuter version involving a fun character made from simple basic shapes. Are you ready to draw an adorable viking?
Let's rule the world using a large oval shape to create the head! Next, draw a thin rectangle to form the body. The pants are also made using this simple shape.
Continue working on this terrible viking by sketching the arms and the legs. No fingers are needed so a simple circle is fine. The shoes are also made from a circular shape as seen below.
The eyes and the pupils are made from large circles. Smaller circular shapes are used to form the ears. The helmet is done using a rectangle with round corners while the horns are made from curved lines.
Inside the pupils, you can draw a few oval shapes. The nose and mouth are done with a line. You can sketch a large beard around the mouth and some hair below the head.
Complete this lesson by adding a large belt of the shirt. A pointed sword can also be illustrated on the right hand of this adorable cartoon viking.
Nice job! This fun illustration can now be filled with great colors, just like the one available on top of this page.
