Nothing is gonna melt here, so take your time while learning how to draw a snowman! Even if you don't have access to snow, you probably already know how to create such an adorable cartoon character. To help you design a nice illustration representing a fun snowman, simply follow this drawing tutorial and learn a few basic tips to end up with a fun result. You will see that adding a few circles is not enough to create the perfect cartoon snowman!
Great! Start with the addition of the head using a large oval shape. Once you are finished, draw another circle below the head. This one needs to be quite smaller. Finally, add a third circle on the bottom of the character like shown below.
On top of the head of the cartoon character, sketch a large hat made from a rectangle. Most lines from this hat are slightly curved to create a more dynamic element.
Draw two large circular shapes to form the eyes of the cartoon snowman. Leave a little bit of room below the eyes. The arms and hands are made from thin rectangles like shown below.
Cool! The nose can be illustrated with a long triangle made with a pointed end. The pupils are illustrated from small circles.
Finally, you can add more details on the cartoon snowman like the mouth, which is made from several small circles. Buttons on the body are also made from smaller circles. Oval shapes are added inside the pupils for a better effect.
This is the final version in black and white. You don't need to draw a complex character to end up with something interesting. Simplicity is always better although sometimes it's also more challenging to achieved since mistakes cannot be hidden!
Nice work creating a fun cartoon snowman that doesn't melt! It's now time to work on your own version using simple shapes and colors. Once you can draw a few circles and a fun hat, drawing a snowman becomes an easy exercise! :)
