More complex than the other animals from the same series, this lesson on how to draw a raccoon is still rather easy even for beginners. Indeed, don't be impressed by the fact that this design is filled with more details.
As you can see below, the raccoon is made from complex shapes and simple details. Let me show you how you can draw a nice raccoon like this one in just six easy steps and end up with something fun in just a few minutes ...
Cool! Let's begin with the head. This one is drawn using a simple circle. Near the cheeks, two small triangles are added to create a head similar to the one seen below. The body is illustrated using a long rectangle.
Next, you can draw a long tail using two curved lines like shown below. The feet and legs are made from circles and curved lines. To increase the level of "cuteness", you can draw small feet.
Great work so far! The ears are represented by two long triangles with round corners. The nose is made from a tiny oval shape. Notice the location of the nose. Indeed, you must leave enough room to create large eyes in the next step.
Time to work on the eyes and pupils! These two elements are sketched using large circular shapes. Pupils are located closer to each other. Small oval shapes are also added inside the pupils. The mouth is created from a long curved line.
This last step is probably the most complex one. Smaller details need to be added in strategic places. First, small triangles are drawn inside the ears. A large patch is also sketched around the eyes and near the mouth. Another patch can be drawn on the stomach of the cartoon raccoon. Finally, you can draw three more rectangular shapes on the tail of the animal.
Nice work! Study this template carefully and I am convinced that you will be able to draw something similar very quickly. This illustration is perfect if you need a more challenging character (compared to other animals from the same series).
Two more tutorials on how to draw a cartoon raccoon are available on this site. First, you can try a raccoon made from rectangles and squares. Finally, you can draw a second raccoon made from cute curved lines. Enjoy! :)
