Like most tutorials featuring cartoon characters from this series, let's start with the head using a large oval shape. Then, create the shirt using a rectangle. The dress is also made from a rectangle, but this one must be wider on the bottom and narrower on top.
Cool! This tutorial is all about simplicity. So let's draw a simple arm using a rectangle and hands without any fingers using circles. A simple step for a simple cartoon princess!
Time to give life to this fun character! Draw the eyes and the pupils using large circular shapes. Notice below how these shapes are placed. Then, create a nose and a mouth using only lines.
Time to draw the most important part of any cartoon girl: the hair! Basically, the whole shape consists of a large circle and a curved line added to hide the left eye. More details can be added to illustrate a simple ponytail.
Finally, this character only needs a simple crown made from triangles and circles to enjoy complete freedom! Let's not forget the long stripe on the shirt as seen in the illustration below.
Here you go! A nice cartoon princess made from simple shapes and plain colors. Below is a black and white version to help you see all elements properly.
You can also find above a single illustration filled with all six steps required to create this wonderful character. Don't hesitate to draw your own version using original shapes and colors. More cute characters are also available below. :)
