Enjoy a fun lesson on how to draw a policeman and make sure that all the bad guys won't cause any trouble soon! Indeed, police officers are not always popular. However, the world wouldn't be a safe place without them. It's a tough job that requires great physical strength, good judgement and a tough mind. Let's draw a cool cartoon officer made from simple shapes and filled with basic details.
Alright! You can start by adding a large oval shape to create the head of the policeman. As you can see below, the top of this shape must be slightly narrower. Then, draw a long rectangle to form the body. Sketch another rectangle to illustrate the pants.
The arms are done using long and thin rectangles. Hands are made from circles since no fingers are visible. Shoes are made from circles too, but only the top part of these shapes can be seen.
The head is filled with many details like the eyes and pupils that are made from large circular shapes. The nose consists of a small curved line while the mouth is made from a larger one. Don't forget the ears that are made from small circles.
When you are ready, add some hair on both sides of the head. Then, you can draw the hat using curved lines, a triangle and a rectangle. See below to make sure you are sketching the exact shape.
Add some details on the cartoon policeman like a badge on the hat. On the shirt of the police officer, draw a belt and sketch some buttons as shown on the image below.
Very cool! This fun cartoon policeman is now ready to catch bad guys! Don't hesitate to add colors if needed! :)
Now that you know how to draw a cartoon policeman in just six easy steps (as shown below), you can try to create your own version using simple shapes and elements. Drawing a female version could also be a good idea if you want to practice even more! :)
