Time to work in the woods! If not, then maybe it's time to learn how to draw a lumberjack using this simple step-by-step drawing tutorial! Once a vital job in places that are hit by tough winters, being a lumberjack might not be the coolest job on earth. Most of the time, machines are able to do the job of 20 men in just a few minutes. Still, this once popular character is now slowly disappearing and a good way to pay tribute to these men would be to draw a cool lumberjack!
Great! Let's begin this lesson by working on the head and the body of the character. First, sketch the head using an oval shape. The shirt and the pants are made from small rectangles.
Next, you can illustrate the arms using long rectangles. Hands are represented by small circular shapes. Finally, the feet are made from simple curved and straight lines.
Inside the head, you can add two large circles to illustrate the eyes of the cartoon lumberjack. The ears can be done using circles too. Sketch a small hat on top of the head and draw hair on both sides of the head.
Inside the eyes, sketch two large pupils using once again small circular shapes. The nose can be done using a curve line. The mouth is also made using a long line. Draw a beard around the mouth as shown below.
Complete this drawing lesson by adding a pattern inside the shirt using straight lines. You can also draw an ax on the right hand of the cartoon character.
Cool work! This is the final illustration featuring a black and white version of this fascinating character.
Practice as often as needed. Below you can see all steps needed to learn how to draw a lumberjack similar to this illustration! :)
