Get prepared to learn how to draw the most adorable character you can think of! Indeed, this fun cartoon lion is done using a fun template that most people can easily duplicate. This great lion is made from plain colors and basic shapes. Let's see how drawing this character can be done within minutes!
First, you can create the body using a long rectangle. This one must be much more narrower than the head. The head is sketched using a large oval shape. The jaw can also be drawn using a small circular shape.
Next, you can illustrate the ears using small triangles. The front legs are created with circles. They must be small and carefully placed near the bottom of the rectangle. The back legs are mostly made of curved lines.
Cool! Now you need to draw the mane using several small triangles like shown in the illustration below. Only the ears are visible and placed over the mane. The tail is represented by a long curved line.
When you are ready, you can also create the eyes and the pupils using large circular shapes. The nose is illustrated with a small triangles. The mouth is made with straight lines.
Finally, you can add more details on the cartoon character. You can draw a thin line inside the ears. You can also draw small oval shapes inside the pupils. Complete this tutorial with the addition of a long curved line inside the stomach.
Here you can see the complete illustration in black and white. The character is a little bit more complex to draw compared to similar cartoon animals from the same series. Don't hesitate to practice often if you are having some issues drawing this character.
