In this drawing lesson, I will show you how to draw a kid with a cute face and spiky hair. You will see that unlike other tutorials found on the web, this lesson was created for beginners and young kids. Even if you don't have much drawing experience, going through this entire tutorial is quite easy if you follow all guidelines and tips carefully ...
This first step is quite easy. All you need to do is draw a large oval shape to illustrate the head of this cartoon kid.
Let's move on with the second step. Sketch a long and thin rectangle to represent the body. A smaller rectangle can be drawn to form the pants of the kid. Curved lines are needed to sketch the feet.
Another simple step! This time, draw two rectangles to create the arms of the character. The hands are made from simple circles.
Continue working on this adorable character by drawing the hair using several broken lines. The eyes are done using large circles while the ears are made from smaller ones.
Finally, you can add small oval shapes inside the pupils to illustrate lighting effects. A small curved line is used to create the nose while a longer one can be sketch to form the mouth.
Excellent! This cartoon kid is now ready to be filled with colors. Please see the illustration on top of this page if you need ideas.
Drawing a front view of this character was a relatively easy task. You can now try to create a side view of this cartoon kid if you are looking for something more challenging. I hope you had fun working on this illustration! Have fun!
