Take a trip into the sea using this drawing lesson on how to draw a jellyfish and discover a new cartoon character made from a simple design! It's true that a jellyfish might not be the most adorable creature on earth. They can be dangerous for most swimmers and rarely do you see people playing with these creatures and enjoying their company.
Still, learning how to draw this creature can be quite entertaining. It is relatively easy to illustrate and the result can be really entertaining. Once again, you can use this template to create your own version!
Great! The first step is to draw the head. The top of this one is made from a long curved line. On the bottom, many small curved lines can be sketched like shown on the illustration below.
The small tentacles can be illustrated from curved lines. Don't hesitate to play with the length and the width of these lines. It's time to be creative and use your imagination! :)
The eyes are made from large circles. Keep a small space on the bottom to add the mouth. Once again, you can play with the sizes of these shapes to end up with different results.
Pupils are also created from circles. Notice how these shapes are a little bit closer to each other compared to the eyes.
One last addition can be the small oval shapes inside the pupils.
Nice work! This jellyfish is really fun to draw. Yes, it's a simple character, but possibilities are endless if you take your time and play with various parts of this fun cartoon animal.
Here are all step required to draw a jellyfish. Have fun with this lesson and remember that practicing is important if you want to get better at drawing! :)
