Learning how to draw a bee is really easy using this simple step-by-step lesson. Carefully drawn from a basic design, this cartoon illustration should be easy to duplicate even if you don't have much drawing experience. Simply grab a pencil and a piece of paper and let's start drawing now!
Drawing bees is really easy. They are so unique and even younger kids can create a recognizable version within minutes. In this tutorial, I will show you how to draw a cute version using only a few simple tips that are easy to master.
Good! Let's start with the creation of the head using a large circle. For the body, you need a long oval shape. Notice on the picture below how the bottom of the shape is narrower and pointed.
It's time to draw a special feature that makes a bee so unique: the yellow and black stripes. Don't draw too many lines. As long as you can create two or three stripes of featuring each color, it is more than enough.
Another important element that can be drawn using circles are wings. Notice below how the wings are made from circular shapes, but not from perfect circles. The bottom is narrower and thinner. Don't forget the sting on the bottom of the illustration.
Next, you can draw the eyes using large circles. Repeat the same technique to illustrate the pupils. That's pretty much it for this simple step! :)
Great! Now you can add the antennas using straight lines. The mouth can be done from a curved one. You can also add oval shapes inside the pupils to create a more interesting facial expression.
Nice work! As you can see, illustrating a fun cartoon bee is not so difficult. Practice as much as needed. This is the only tip I can give you to make sure you will succeed with this drawing lesson.
