Welcome to this simple tutorial on how to sketch a chicken clipart. This great animal is virtually available all over the world. Of course, chickens are a good source of food and are also providing eggs that are used in several recipes. More than 20 billion chickens are currently living on our beautiful planet. Now that we know a little bit more about this fun animal, let's talk about this simple tutorial!
You can see the character once done just below this paragraph. It's basically a huge rectangle filled with smaller shapes representing the various body parts of the chicken. Are you ready to draw? Great! Let's begin this fun lesson now!
First, you can draw a large rectangle to form the body of the animal. The head is also included inside this shape. On top of the rectangle, draw some hair using broken lines and small triangles. Both shapes are done using a thick outline.
Next, draw two large circles to form the eyes of the cartoon animal. As you can see below, these shapes are partially hidden on both sides of the head. Finally, draw two small circles to create the pupils. The beak is done using a small oval shape with pointed ends. When you are done, you can proceed with the third step.
Draw a long triangle on the left side of the illustration to illustrate the tail of the chicken. This shape is made from two curved lines. Next, draw two small pointed lines to represent the wings of the animal. Finally, you can use curved lines to create the feet of the character.
Nice work! You can now add colors inside the image. The body can be filled with a bright yellow color while the pupils are colored in blue. The tail and the hair are filled with a plain red color while the beak and the feet are orange. You can also change the color of all outlines as shown in the illustration below.
Great work! You can see all steps needed to create this cartoon animal below. Don't hesitate to practice as often as needed. You can also create your own version of this character using different shapes, lines and colors. If you prefer to work with circular shapes, you can try this simple cartoon chicken too. Enjoy! :)
