How to Draw A Cartoon Ocean

It's now time to learn how to draw a nice cartoon ocean. Drawing water is a nice challenge whether you do you it with a vector software or not. Water is an organic substance and drawing it accurately can be difficult at times.

In this tutorial, I will show you how to draw a simple ocean using only irregular shapes and a few lines. I will also use three or four different colors (various blue tone).

To add a nice perspective effect to your creation, just sketch bigger shapes on the bottom of your artwork and smaller ones on top. You can also make the ones on top darker to achieve your goal more easily.

For the background (look at the first image as it will be easier to figure out what I mean) I have added a small gradient fill effect to help me get this perspective feeling that I am looking for.
