This easy tutorial will help you learn to draw a cartoon motorcycle! These fast machine are highly appreciated by their drivers but necessarily by car drivers!
They can reach some really high speed in a matter of seconds! Let's try to draw one motorcycle in this seven steps tutorial using some very basic shapes... and a little bit of practice! You can start with the video version below or scroll down to enjoy the written version. :)
First, draw two circles to create the tires. The distance between both shapes should be around one and a half of their original sizes.
Next, add some rectangles to create the body of your motorcycle. Study carefully the image above to make sure your drawing is accurate and well-proportioned.
Then, add a circle to illustrate the gas tank. You can also add two more rectangles to form the dashboard.
Now let's refine our drawing! Work on the wheels and add a disk break and the rim.
When you are finished, work on the body of your motorcycle. Don't forget to sketch the rear suspension, the tail light and the seat!
Finally, work on the gas tank and the dashboard! You can also draw a small rectangle to create the front suspension.
Add some colors and you are done! A nice and easy illustration of a motorcycle! Notice that even if the engine is not filled with details, the motorcycle is still recognizable and very enjoyable to the eyes! You are also invited to draw more fun vehicles from this series using a few examples below. Enjoy! :)
