This tutorial will help you learn to draw a cartoon moose! The moose is part of the deer family. Only this animal is much bigger than your usual deer! That's why it's probably one of the most hunted animals in North America! Let's see how we can draw this big but fascinating animal!
First, draw a circle to create the head of your moose. When you are done, add a rectangle on the left-bottom part of the head to form the jaw. Don't hesitate to make it big! This animal really does have a big jaw!
Next, add two circles to illustrate the eyes. To form the horns, just draw a small rectangle with a big circle near the end for now. We will refine this part later on.
The body and the legs are drawn using rectangles. For the legs, just make sure to sketch the knees a little wider and make the hoof larger and higher.
This step is rather easy. Just create two rectangles for the ears and draw a line for the tail.
Now it's time to work on the outline of your animal! Like I said previously, the jaw should be large and big. To enhance this effect, just draw a small forehead to your moose.
The ears are small and should lean towards the ground. The horns are big and round on the outside. The bigger the better!
For the body, just draw a shape similar to the one of a deer. However, since the moose is bigger and stronger, you can also try to draw a strong and large body.
For this last step, add the details that you didn't have the opportunity to draw yet! This includes the legs on the far side, the tail, the nose and the pupils. For the mouth, a simple line will be perfect!
And there you have it! A simple cartoon moose drawn using simple basic shapes. I know this animal is not so easy to draw. But just practice and study this animal's anatomy and you should see some interesting results pretty soon! Have fun!
