This tutorial will show you how to draw a cartoon fox using an easy step-by-step technique! This dog-like animal is easy to recognize with his long snout and tail. It's not quite a dog nor it is a wolf! Kind of a mix between both! Let's try to draw a fox using some simple, basic shapes!
First, draw a circle to create the head. Next, add a triangle to form the mouth and the jaw of the fox. Place the triangle a little lower than the circle.
Next, add some triangles on top of the head to form the ears. But unlike most animals, the pointed part of the triangle should be touching the head. You can also add a small rectangle to create the neck of the fox.
To illustrate the body, draw a big round circle. Don't align it with the neck. Instead, draw it a little more on the left. To create the legs, just draw a small rectangle to form the leg itself and another, bigger one to illustrate the feet.
The tail can be made using several rectangles drawn on top of each other. See the image above for more details.
Work on the head of the cartoon fox by drawing the snout more accurately. The nose will be placed on the left. You can also draw the eyes of your animal by adding two circles. Make sure the one on the right is on top of the left one.
Ok! We are almost finished! Work on the outline of the body of your fox. Notice how the front part is round and curved! You can also draw some tiny fingers (near the tail) that will be used later to create the hands.
Now it's time to work on the tail. It should be large, pointed on top and long enough to reach the same height as the eyes of your character.
Finally, add some details like the pupils, the mouth and the nose. You can also add the lines for the legs and the hands.
Adding some colors will complete the tutorial. Now this fox really rocks! Just don't forget to practice and enjoy this tutorial!
