Important note: For each step available below, the first image represents the operation you must perform for this particular step. All changes are surrounded by a red outline.
On the second image, you will have the opportunity to see the result of this particular step.
First, create the character using simple shapes that are colored in white and surrounded by a black outline. Then, apply a few plain colors to make the whole thing more enjoyable to look at. It doesn't really matters if the illustration looks funny right now.
Once you are finished, use the gradient tool and apply a few basic fills on shapes that are selected in red. All shapes must be darker on the bottom except for the legs and the tail.
Create a few circles to represent the reflections on the pupils and the eyes. Once it is done, add one more circle behind each eye to create a black patch.
Finally, create a few shadows on the feet using a white shape. You can also apply transparency on the bottom of your shape for a greater effect. For the nose, use a light grey shadow and you can also make the bottom transparent. Nice job! You now have a nice sheep cartoon filled with great shadows and nice reflections! Enjoy! :)
