In this tutorial, I will show you how to create a simple, one point perspective drawing. This is, without a doubt, the simplest and easiest method you can use to create perspective in your images. Let's start this tutorial right now!

Step 1

one point perspective

First, draw the front of your object using a square.

Step 2

Next, sketch another small rectangle below the first one. To make things easier, be sure to place the bottom corner (the right one) of the front shape near the middle of the second shape.

Step 3

Like you can see on this image, no vanishing points have been used so far. Your shapes are drawn using only horizontal and vertical lines.

Step 4

It's now time to join all corners of both shapes together! Of course, the left one on the top don't need to be drawn since the front shape is hiding this area.

Step 5

Once you have filled all sides with various colors, you should have a solid shape similar to this one.

Step 6

If you want to see where the vanishing point is, just draw a line along all the edges you've just created. The junction of all three lines will determine the origin of you vanishing point.

Like you can see, this is a very easy technique to use to create a simple, but very effective perspective in your work. Don't hesitate to learn more advance techniques once you are familiar with this one! Enjoy!
