Before learning how to draw dragons: some fun facts before starting sketching!
- In China's mythology, dragons are presumed to live in water.

- In China, the dragon is a divine creature. In north America, it is considered an evil beast.
In this epic tutorial, you will learn how to draw cool dragons using simple shapes like a circle or a rectangle.
Dragons are usually big, green and ugly.
They have a long tail (3), two giant wings (2) and a long neck with a terrible jaw (1).
This one also has long arms with sharp claws (6) and strong legs to grab... anything that he wants to!
Looking at the shapes of this terrible beast, we can see that he is mostly made of triangles for the wings and
rectangles for the body.
Since the subject is a little far on the image, it is difficult to appreciate all the details of this big animal.
Let's try to draw one to have a better idea on how we could draw a nice dragon...
Start by drawing a circle for the head. Then, add two rectangles. One for the jaw and one for the neck. Continue sketching your dragon by adding circles for the body, the legs and the tail.
Work the outline of your dragon and then add the eyes and the arm. Finish your work by adding all the details on this monster. Add color to make the thing more enjoyable to the eyes!
You can also practice yourself by drawing a dragon from a different position (3). This is not an easy animal to draw but with practice and patience, you should achieve your goal pretty fast. Have fun!
