HOW TO CREATE A TWO PERSPECTIVE DRAWING

Have you ever wondered on how to create a 2-D perspective drawing? Well its simple.Use of correct shading on the appropriate areas! For example assuming you want to draw a tree,Just think about it,when you look at a real tree, what do you see? You see colour and lines. The colours are of different shades and texture, and the lines are of different thickness, shape and length. When you learn how to balance the colours and the lines to approximate some degree of reality, you have mastered the art of 2-D drawing.
But it would be absurd to stand before a tree and copy it to the minutest detail.Furthermore you want to have some creativity and original imagination,so you do this;close your eyes, think about a tree.Imagine the trunk, the branches and how the tree would look if the sun was on one side of it.Remember to shade one side of the trunk.Increase the degree of shading as you move farther from the sun.Understand that anything that protrudes has a shadow, that means that the ridges on the trunk and the individual branches,up to the smallest leaf, will elicit some degree of depth and shadow. One important aspect of 2-d drawing is that it takes time.So take your time. All the best.
