Eight simple steps are required to learn how to draw cupid! I will show you how to illustrate this adorable character properly using simple shapes and lines that anyone can easily duplicate. The result is a fun illustration made from basic elements and filled with just enough details to make the character recognizable without spending hours drawing complex shapes.

How to Draw Cupid

Step 1

First, sketch the head of cupid using a long oval shape. Notice that this is not a perfect shape. The top is narrower and the bottom of the head is a little bit flat.

Next, draw a thin rectangle to illustrate the body. Once you are finished, you can draw another smaller rectangle below the first one to represent the legs of the cartoon character.

It's now time to add smaller details (especially inside the head). Draw large pupils using circles. These pupils must be close to each other. The nose and the mouth are made from small curved lines. A small dot is used to create the belly button.
