Dracula cartoon (Advance vector tutorial)
This funny Dracula cartoon is perfect if you need the presence of a great monster that loves the taste of blood! This amazing character has been depicted a few hundred times in movies and modern literature. It's virtually impossible to ignore that this character is now a big part of every Halloween!
Fortunately, since this cartoon character is mostly colored in black and white, then this drawing lesson shouldn't be too hard to complete. No need to come up with complex shadows or strange color patterns.
Important note: For each step available below, the first image represents the operation you must perform for this particular step. All changes are surrounded by a red outline. On the second image, you will have the opportunity to see the result of this particular step.
First, draw the outline of the character using a dark thick line. Make sure that all important features like the cape and the teeth are visible. Once you are finished, add plain colors on most parts of the character.
Then, select all shapes one-by-one and use the gradient tool to create simple shadows. Don't forget that most shapes must be darker on the bottom and lighter on top.
When you are done, create new circular shapes to represent the reflections on the pupils and on the eyes. You can use the transparency tool to complete the effect. You can also create new shapes to form new shadows below the arms and near the ears.
Finally, create a large shape on the head and the body to create one last additional shadow. You can also create reflections on the shoes using a duplicate of the feet. Great job! Adding simple shadows doesn't require much work if you know how to use them properly on your Dracula cartoon.
