Learn how to build a fun construction worker clipart using all the basic tools needed to achieve your goal! This simple cartoon character is relatively easy to depict. Construction workers are often dressed with bright clothing (often yellow and orange) and are usually wearing a helmet. Below you can see a traditional worker (a man with a beard, dark hair and blue eyes), but more and more women are also working on construction sites.
Let's draw this simple character below using a few basic elements and see how we can create a fun cartoon character that is lovely to look at and easy to duplicate. :)
Let's start with the creation of the body. First, draw a large rectangle to illustrate the head of the man. Then, sketch a smaller rectangle to form the body of the character. The arms are done using small rectangles and circles while the legs are done using another small rectangle. The feet are made from small circular shapes.
In this second step, you can draw a large helmet on top of the head using a long curved line and a thin rectangle. Then, you can work on the facial features like the mouth, the pupils and the eyes. Finally, you can draw two small circles to represent the ears. Nice work!
Only a few more details are needed and we are done! Start by sketching the hair using a mix of several small curved lines. The beard is done using a single curved line. Complete this lesson by adding a pattern on the shirt of the character.
Now that this character is completed, you can add colors inside the illustration as shown below. The helmet can be yellow, the hair is dark while the pupils are blue. The shirt is orange, the pants are blue and the shoes are brown.
I hope you had fun creating this cartoon character. If you are looking for another version to work with, then you are invited to draw this cute construction worker made from circular shapes. Have fun with both characters and don't forget to practice as often as needed to become even better at drawing! :)
