Creating your own custom comic strip is not as difficult as it might seem. Below, you will find a short description of the whole process. You will see that starting a project here can be fun, quick and very affordable!
Getting started!
First, you need to fill in the form available on this page. Once you are finished, I will review your submission and contact you to start the project. When both parties are ready to proceed, the first payment will be made (50%).
The creation process!
It's now time to draw! Sketching is the most important part of the creation process. It's time to experiment and choose the style you like the most! Sketches are created and sent for approval until you are 100% satisfied.
From sketches to vector!
Once the final sketch is approved, I will create the vector file with colors. When you are 100% satisfied with the vector version, the second payment will be made (50%). Final images are sent through your email address. The project is now close.

PNG files are light and perfect if you need to merge your custom comic strip (and need a transparent background) with another illustration.
Handle by most vector software, EPS files are small, convenient and scalable. They can be used to create large products like posters and can be edited.
The official extension for files created with Adobe Illustrator. Just like EPS files, they can be used to create printed products (or large ones) and are editable.
Getting your own professional custom comic strip is not as expensive as you might think! Most artists on the net will charge over $400 CAD (sometimes even more!) for a single comic strip! Even worse, others will charge $100 CAD or more for pre-designed templates with limited royalty-free license usage!

Since I work at home, the creative process is usually very quick! I can answer to all request within a few hours only (sometimes, almost immediately!) and creating a custom comic strip can be done within a few days. Of course, this is just an estimate. Some projects are larger or do require more time to accomplish.
One thing is sure: I will do everything to make this experience as fun as possible. Email support is very important and critical if I want to deliver the best cartoons that I can. Support is also available after the conclusion of the project to work on minor changes like switching colors or modifying the width of the outlines for example. Your satisfaction is guaranteed!

Do you create anything else besides comic strips?
Yes. I now offer my services to create custom cartoon characters as well as 2D animation. If you have something else in mind, you can always submit it. Maybe it is something that I can do, but just forgot to offer.
Do you create the scenario/script of the comic strip?
No. You are responsible for creating and delivering the scenario before submitting your project. I only work with fictional characters involved in fictional situations. I don't create caricatures nor do I create comic strips involving politicians, celebrities or real people. I reserve the right to refuse a project that I don't feel comfortable with.
Do you work with text?
I don't own any fonts, so fonts that are used are the basic ones like Arial, Impact or Times New Roman. If you need a special font, then you will have to implement it yourself using the AI or ESP file delivered at the end of the project.
Do you handle large projects?
It depends. I usually prefer to create 2 or 3 comic strips per customers rather than working on a single project involving 10 or more drawings at once. I want to make sure that everyone can enjoy my services. If you have a project that requires the creation of 4 comic strips or more, you can still submit it. However, I can't promise that I will be able to work on it. If you need one comic strip to be delivered each month, then it will be easier to achieve!
What is the license for the comic strip?
There is no restrictions for images created through my services. When all payments are completed, you are the only owner of these images and you do own all copyrights associated with them. A release with all the information you need will be delivered to you once the final payment is made.
However, please note that sketches that were sent to the client, but not approved by the client are still the property of How-to-draw-funny-cartoons.com (for example, if you receive three sketches and decide to move on with only one of them, then the other two sketches are still my property).
How to do proceed with payments?
All payments are made through Paypal (in CAD dollars). A first payment of half the total amount of the contract is required to start the creative process. Once the final design is approved and the drawing is created, the other half of the payment should be made before all images are delivered through your e-mail address.
What is the refund policy?
Refunds can only be made during the creative process. An administration fee of $40 CAD (per new design/image) will be deducted from the refund. This fee is covering the time spent on the creative process. Once the client has giving is approval for the creation of the final image, refunds are not possible. If you ask for a refund, all images created and delivered through your e-mail address remain the property of How-to-draw-funny-cartoons.com
All refunds are made through Paypal only. Paypal may take a transaction fee when money is transferred to your account. These transaction fees are not included in the refund, but are deducted from it.
Can a project be canceled?
Yes, I reserve the right to cancel a project at any time if I feel during the process that I might not be able to deliver the images or move on with this project (for whatever reasons). A full refund (100%) will be delivered to the client for the amount already paid at that point. If you, as a client, wish to cancel a project, just read the refund policy above to see the conditions.
