How to draw a cartoon witch

This easy tutorial will help you learn to draw a cartoon witch! For many centuries, humans have been fascinating by witches. They have been hunted and burned because of fear and ignorance.

Are witches real or only fictional characters available in books and kids stories? One thing is sure! This tutorial will help you learn how to draw a witch easily using simple shapes and an easy step-by-step technique! Grab a pencil and a piece of paper and start drawing!

First, draw a plain circle to illustrate the head of your character. When you are finished, add two thin rectangles to your artwork. One will be used to create the nose while the other will represent the bottom of the hat.

Next, add three more rectangles to form the hat of the witch. Instead of making a straight and plain hat, I decided to create one that is bent and old. You can also add another circle in this step to illustrate the body.

Continue your good work by sketching the arms and the broom of your character. The arms are simply created with a rectangle and a circle for the hand. The broom is built with rectangles and a circle to form the junction of the broom itself and the stick.

Finally, add a circle on the back of the witch to create the hair. When you are done, draw two more rectangles (or circle if you prefer to use another shape) to form the bottom of the dress.

Now it's time to work on the outline of your character. Make sure that the nose is big and pointed. The top of the ear should also be narrow and pointed. For the hat, like I said in a previous step, make it irregular and bent. It feels more cartoonish and scary that way!

Now work on the dress of your witch. Draw it in one piece and make sure that it looks old and a little thorn apart.

Finish your sketching by refining the hair and the broom. Like you can see on the image above, the broom is bent. Your drawing will look more realistic that way! You can also draw the eyes and the pupils of your character.

Now just add some relevant colors and you are done! You now have a nice and colorful cartoon witch done in only eight easy steps! Don't forget to color the skin in a green tone for a better effect! Good job! I hope you enjoyed this easy drawing tutorial!
