How to draw a cartoon nurse

This drawing lesson will help you learn to draw a cartoon nurse! They are dedicated. They're always there when you need them! They are caring and essential to every hospital! Nurses don't have the easiest job on earth!
But no doubt that each of them is doing the best to heal every patient with care and dignity! Let's pay a tribute to nurses by drawing one of them in this nine steps drawing lessons!
First, draw a nice oval shape to illustrate the head of your character. Then, add two more circles (or oval) to form the eyes. Don't make the eyes too big. We want to draw a delicate and feminine nurse!
Next, add a rectangle on the back of the head to create the hair. Notice that the top is narrower. Over this shape (and on top of it), draw a small rectangle. We will use this shape later on to draw the health sign. Finally, sketch a small circle to represent the neck of your nurse.
To create the body of your character, draw a rectangle and make sure that the bottom is narrower. Repeat this step by drawing another shape under it, but this time, the top should be narrower.
For the arms, just add a rectangle to illustrate the sleeve of the dress. Then, draw a thin rectangle and a circle to form the arm and the hand of your nurse.
To illustrate the legs, draw two rectangles for each of them. For the feet, draw a rectangle with the top being narrower and oriented towards the center of the illustration.
Now it's time to refine the outline of your nurse! Start with the head by working on the hair and the neck. You can also add some curved lines on the sign located on the head of your character.
For the dress, add a collar and refine the outline of the entire piece of clothing. You can also make the arms thinner and more delicate. For the hands, just draw the thumb and one finger like shown above for the moment.
Work on the outline of the legs and draw some shoes (something casual and practical).
Complete your drawing by adding details like the red cross on the sign, the pupils, the nose and the mouth. You can also work on the dress by sketching buttons and some light and subtle lines to illustrate the breasts. Finally, add a single finger behind each hand to give more depth to your drawing.
