How to draw a cartoon microphone

This drawing lesson will help you draw a cartoon microphone! This particular object is not really difficult to draw.
But once again, you might need to apply the following guidelines to make sure that your microphone is accurate and really does look like one! So grab a pencil and a piece of paper and prepare yourself to draw a nice microphone right... now!
First, draw a nice and clean circle to form the top of your object.
Then, continue sketching your microphone by adding a long and thin rectangle. Make sure that this one is not too long or too thick!
Next, add two rectangles on your microphone. The first one (on top) will be used to create the anti-rolling guard band. The next one is simply created to hide the junction between the top and the bottom of the microphone.
Refine the shape of your object by adding two small curves on each of the small rectangles. For the bottom part of the microphone, make sure that the rectangle is larger on top.
Add a couple of circles just like shown in the image above.
Complete the sketching part by drawing some lines on the top section of the mic.
Add colors (mostly black and some tones of grey) to your illustration.
If you feel confident enough, you can also add some shadows and reflections on the object. Congratulations! You've just created a nice and very effective drawing of a microphone! I hope you enjoyed this easy and simple tutorial! Have fun and don't forget to practice!
