How to draw a cartoon hat
This drawing lesson will help you draw a cartoon hat! A magician wouldn't be a good entertainer without his hat! Everybody loves to see a cute rabbit come out of a (too) large and mystical magical hat!
In this tutorial, you will learn to draw this object using simple shapes. Nothing too complicated or difficult! So just grab a pencil and let's start right now!

Start this drawing lesson by sketching two oval shapes. MAke sure that the one inside is similar to the other one, but smaller.

Next, add a small line below the biggest oval shape. You will use this line later on to create an impression of depth for the top part! You can also draw a large rectangle to illustrate the crown of your hat.

Continue your artwork by refining the line near the opening of the hat. You can also refine the crown and add some nice curves to it.

Finally, draw a side band on the crown of your hat.

Add some colors (mostly black) to your illustration. You can choose any color for the side band. Also, choose a lighter color for the opening of the hat. Otherwise, it might not be visible enough!

If you wish, you can add some light shadows to give a more professional look to your image. Congratulations! You've just created a nice and magical hat in only six easy steps! I hope you enjoyed this easy tutorial and don't hesitate to come back for more!
