This tutorial will help you draw a simple cartoon candy cane! Even if it's Christmas or not, having the opportunity to eat a delicious candy cane is always interesting!
They are colorful, sweet and easy to hang anywhere! Let's see how you could draw a simple candy cane in five easy steps using some basic shapes!
Draw a long and thin rectangle to create the straight part of the candy. Once you are done, just add a circle near the top of your rectangle. Make sure that the right side of your rectangle is aligned with the right side of your circle.
Next, sketch another circle inside the first one. Try to keep the distance between the two circles similar to the width of your rectangle.
Then, keep the top part of both circles to create the round part of the candy cane. Just join this new shape to the rectangle and work on the outline of your candy so that it will look like the image above.
Finally, just add some stripes to your illustration to complete your artwork. Don't forget to make sure that stripes created on the circular part are aligned with the rotation of the candy.
