How to draw a cartoon camel

This tutorial will help you learn how to draw a cartoon camel easily. These very strange and domesticated animals are easy to recognize with their single hump and funny looking head.
They usually don't walk very fast and are well-known for producing healthy and almost fat-free milk. A camel can be as tall as six feet! Let's see how you could draw one of these lovely animals!
First, draw a circle to represent the mouth. Make this shape a little more oval than round and give a slight inclination to it.
Draw two small circles on top of the first one to illustrate the eyes. Make sure that the one on the right is sitting on top of the other one.
Now it's time to build the head. Sketch a rectangle behind the first circle to represent the top of the neck. Draw another small rectangle on the bottom for the middle part of the neck. You can also add two triangles on top of the head to create the ears.
For the body and the hump, draw three rectangles, the biggest one being the one used for the body itself. Make the one in the middle narrower. We will draw manes on top of the hump later on.
For the each leg, draw two rectangles to illustrate the leg, one for the knee and a last one to illustrate the foot.
For the tail, just draw a line and a circle like shown above for now.
Let's refine our drawing and get ride of those basic shapes. Work on the outline of the head of your cartoon camel. Notice that the head and the mouth of the camel aren't as tight as the head of a horse for example.
Next, start working on the hump and the manes. The top of the hump should be narrower and rounder.
Finally, sketch the rest of the outline from the body of the camel. Don't hesitate to draw big round knees and a long curved neck.
Add the final parts of the camel like the ears, the legs on the opposite side and the tail.
To complete the sketching part, draw the pupils and the nose of your camel.
So there you have it! A nice and easy to sketch camel. You can also add color to make your work more attractive! And don't worry! If you find it difficult to sketch at first, just practice and practice over again! It took me a while before I could draw a nice camel like this one!
