This simple tutorial will help you learn to draw a cartoon bull. These strong and ferocious animals are very well-known for being the main interest of rodeos!

And everybody knows that they don't really enjoy the color red! But the fact that this animal is HUGE helps him being ignored by most predators. So let's see how we could draw a nice bull using some simple basic shapes!

How to draw a cartoon bull 1

First, draw a square to illustrate the big nose and huge jaw of the bull. Once your square is sketched, draw a small circle on top of it. Don't make it too big. We want our bull to look mean and menacing, so the jaw needs to be bigger than the forehead.

Next, add two small rectangles to be used to create the ears. Under these two new shapes, draw two long and thin rectangles. They will be used to form the horns later on.

Now the body! We want the bull to look big and heavy. Draw a square. Place it as near as possible from the head. Bulls don't really have a big neck so the closer the better. The legs should also be short and large. Just draw a thick square for the leg itself and then add a small rectangle to create the foot.

Once you are done, draw two similar legs and feet on the far side of your animal. Then, draw a line and a circle to illustrate the tail.

Now it's time to work on the outline of your character. Work on the face and refine the jaw by drawing it rounder and smoother. Then, you can add the eyes of the bull. Don't forget that it should look mean. Finally, draw the ears and work on the forehead.

You can now draw the horns. Make them long, large and pointed near the end. Doesn't matter if they are too big! Your bull will only look bigger. You can also add the pupils in the eyes and draw a ring in its nose.

For the outline of the body, just keep the same rule in mind. We want a big, mean animal. Make the body rounder and thicker. You can sketch the tail of your bull once you are finished with the body.
