How to draw a cartoon beaver

This tutorial will help you learn how to draw a cartoon beaver, Canada's national emblem! Beavers are without a doubt pretty cute!
But not everybody finds this lovely animal useful and cute! A beaver can really make some damage when building dams, canals, or lodges! But don't worry! The one you are about to draw will be cuter and less harmful than the real one!
First, sketch a small circle to create the top of the head. When you are done, just add an oval shape below the circle. This new shape will be used to draw the mouth and jaw of our beaver.
While you are still working on the head, draw two circles to create the eyes. These two circles should cover the junction of the two previous shapes you drawn. Next, add the teeth by sketching two squares.
Finally, finish the head of the beaver by drawing the ears and the nose. Like illustrated on the image above, the nose is sketch in two parts to create the nose itself and the snout.
The body of your character will be drawn using a circle. For the legs, just sketch two small rectangles.
For the legs that are located in front of the beaver, just represent them using two small rectangles. Another rectangle, much bigger, will be used to illustrate the tail.
Now let's work on these shapes to make our beaver look a little more accurate. First, work on the head of the animal. You can join both eyes together and make the teeth rounder and narrower on top.
Do the same for the body. You can draw hands similar to the ones of human characters. The feet can be drawn using a simple oval and pointed shape.
The tail should be pretty easy to draw since it is mostly hidden by the body of the cartoon beaver.
Complete your work by adding details in the ears, on the chest and in the eyes.
When you are done, just add some nice colors to your beaver and there you have it! If you follow carefully these 10 simple steps, you will be able to draw a beaver that is cute and easy to recognize every time! Just don't forget to practice and practice over and over again so that one day, this cute animal will draw itself on your computer!
