Step 1

Sketching an apple can be a good exercise if you are new to drawing. They are relatively easy to draw and easy to recognize by almost anyone worldwide.

They can be red (like the picture on your left), green or even gold! It can have leaves (1) and a stem (2). An apple usually has 5 seeds and a smooth skin (3). They are also coated with wax to make them look a little more shiny.

Step 2

The shape of an apple is really basic. One circle for the apple itself, a rectangle for the stem and a couple of triangles for the leaves. You can see two little irregularities on the apple's shape. One on top, where the stem is located, and one at the bottom, which prevent the apple from rolling all over the place!

Step 3

Let's try to draw a simple apple. First, draw a circle for the body of this great fruit. Next, work on the outline, especially the top and the bottom of the apple (see the arrows). Continue your work by adding the stem and the leaf. Add color to your artwork and you are done!

Step 4

Now it's your turn to create more apples. Just take a look at the image below. You can always try to draw one funny apple (3), a more realistic one (1) or even one that has been eaten (2)! This one looks more like a mascot (4)! Don't be afraid to use your imagination to draw a very original fruit! And why not do it while eating one!!!
