Cartoon Animal Types

When I draw cartoon animals, I think of their personality. For example, I give cute animals big innocent eyes, like puppies, but animals that agrivate easily have narrowed, bloodshot eyes, like a bulldog. I don't think that keeping the head in proportion with the body is important either, my cute animals tend to have large heads and small bodies. The build of the character is probably pretty strict with realistic art, but cartoons it depends. That's about it I think.
